Note: For the past seven years Exodus Cry has helped survivors of sex trafficking walk through a journey of healing, utilizing the services listed below. We are currently restructuring our Restoration department based on all that we have learned, in order to provide the most excellent care possible.

What is Restoration?

Restoration is the process of renewing a broken life and returning a person to wholeness. It is the reintegration of healthy relationships with community, God, and self.

Victims of sex trafficking have been robbed of opportunity for healthy relationships. An instilled sense of love, dignity, worth, and belonging is critical to a person’s development and social well-being. Through restoration, we seek to provide a context for women to experience and know these truths about themselves, while being part of a community of believers who are all growing in authentic relationship with God and with others.

Our Restoration work uses a holistic approach to care for victims. Our goal is to see each woman restored physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, and to walk alongside her in the intricate process of rebuilding a life. This journey takes place within our Exodus Cry community and in cooperation with Safe Families and other partners.

Early in our history, the Lord provided us with an opportunity to lead a precious young woman through the restoration process. Outpatient therapy was initiated, and we were able to develop effective case management strategies to meet her needs. Since then, our restoration efforts have intensified and grown.

Just as lighthouses have served as a guiding light for centuries, the Exodus Cry Restoration program shines a beacon of hope for those desiring refuge from the storm. Our program offers a safe harbor as we lead victims to restoration and as we walk with them into the fullness of life that God has for them.

Why do we need Restoration?

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me... to heal the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound. -Jesus Christ (Isaiah 61:1)

Most women and children who are trapped in a cycle of sex trafficking come from a lifetime of abuse. Many times, they are ripped from their families. Often, their families are the ones abusing them. Their only relationships are with people who want to use them, exploit them, and abuse them for personal gain. Because of this, It becomes exponentially harder to relate to others in a healthy way. The victims become accustomed to loneliness, fear, degradation, and depression. The self-worth, hope, and dignity of women and children who've come from a history of trafficking are completely broken down through systematic and violent abuse. Our aim is to rebuild the person through holistic professional care designed specifically for women and children who have been sexually exploited.

We seek to help ease the process of restoration as much as we can by providing counseling, comfort, and skills that can assist with the transition to a new life.

Our supporters stand at the center of every level of our Restoration work. We would not be able to continue in this crucial work if it were not for your support and prayers. Thank you.
